A Houmt Souk, le restaurant Essofra cuisine les spécialités tunisiennes délicieuses en fonction des produits du marché, accueil agréable et bon rapport qualité prix
After reading all the good reviews me and my friend went there for dinner. It is a big restaurant with enough space and nicely decorated.
What I noticed straight away was that there were almost only tourists, including us of course.
The food was not bad but disappointing to us. During our 2 weeks in Tunisia the food was flavorful with strong spices. In this case the food tasted very bland and was nothing special.
The prices for the individual dishes are also quite high.
As I said, the food wasn't bad, but there are much better restaurants for the price range.
I just had dinner with my husband, the food here was amazingggg! 🥰
also the waiter was really nice, and funny i forgot the named. so yea it’s recommended! 👌
If i could give more than 5 stars, i would. This restaurant is a gem in Tunisia. The decoration, ambience, level of service, the taste of the food, authenticity... Pick whichever is your expectation, and you will find it in this restaurant.
NB: I am writing this comment at the restaurant, even before paying.
Edit after payment: it is even good at price/performance level.🫠

Hands down the best service and food I have experienced in a Tunisian restaurant. The food was unbelievably delicious and they were very accommodating to my vegetarian girlfriend. The waiter was so nice and you can tell that all he wanted was for you to enjoy good food and we certainly did. The atmosphere was so amazing too, very laid back. Don't skip this restaurant its so amazing.
