El Fondouk Djerba

An aesthetically pleasing restaurant with good food options. The ambiance was excellent and the food was one of best in Djerba. Would recommend if you’re looking for a fine dining experience with actually good food.

Such a beautiful place with a stunning traditional vibe and atmosphere. The staff were friendly and professional. For dinner I may recommend reserving at table first especially during summer . The only weakness is the food , the cheese cake was not made of cheese ! The taste of the whipped cream was taking over the taste of cheese if there is any ! . Same for the mojito strawberry, it was tasteless , the soda killed the flavor of the strawberry, but the staff was nice enough to change my order with a smile .

The atmosphere was amazing, however during Adhan they didn’t stop the music for a min, the food was very good but not too much choices , i found myself in very limited range of options so i was obliged to order a rib-eye steak which was very chewy and not testy ! The A/C distribution is very poor , they could have done something better. Its a children friendly restaurant, they good part they brought a colors to our children to keep them calm which is very good idea.

Die Reservierung war eine Herausforderung. Nachdem auf Google Maps keine Antwort kam, rief ich an und mir wurde gesagt, dass sie voll seien. Überraschenderweise schickten sie später eine Nachricht, um einen Platz für diese Nacht zu bestätigen. Bei der Ankunft fielen vor allem die authentische Atmosphäre und das freundliche Personal auf. Allerdings war die fast einstündige Wartezeit ein Dämpfer. Das Essen war zwar schmackhaft, rechtfertigte jedoch nicht die hohen Preise. Während das Ambiente und das Personal lobenswert waren, wirkte das Gesamterlebnis insgesamt überteuert und überbewertet.
