El Fondouk Djerba

Such a beautiful place with a stunning traditional vibe and atmosphere. The staff were friendly and professional. For dinner I may recommend reserving at table first especially during summer . The only weakness is the food , the cheese cake was not made of cheese ! The taste of the whipped cream was taking over the taste of cheese if there is any ! . Same for the mojito strawberry, it was tasteless , the soda killed the flavor of the strawberry, but the staff was nice enough to change my order with a smile .

An aesthetically pleasing restaurant with good food options. The ambiance was excellent and the food was one of best in Djerba. Would recommend if you’re looking for a fine dining experience with actually good food.

The atmosphere was amazing, however during Adhan they didn’t stop the music for a min, the food was very good but not too much choices , i found myself in very limited range of options so i was obliged to order a rib-eye steak which was very chewy and not testy ! The A/C distribution is very poor , they could have done something better. Its a children friendly restaurant, they good part they brought a colors to our children to keep them calm which is very good idea.

The reservation was a challenge. After no response on Google Maps, I called and was told they were full. Surprisingly, they later messaged to confirm a spot for that night. Upon arrival, the authentic atmosphere and the welcoming staff were highlights. However, the nearly hour-long wait was a dampener. The food, although palatable, didn't justify the high prices. In essence, while the ambiance and staff were commendable, the overall experience felt overpriced and overrated.
